Bold décor, eclectic furnishings and fascinating collections have transformed this historic seaside home which comes with an intriguing past. The house was constructed by a retired sea admiral in 1790 and most famously once provided a hiding place for smugglers’ contraband. Today, after complicated renovations, Shaun and Paul have created a confident play on scale and drama, underpinned with a very deliberate sense of luxury and opulence.
