Kathyrn's 18th century thatched cottage was dark and oppressive but by painting it white throughout and adding her vintage and modern country tastes this tiny cottage has been transformed. 'I'd always wanted to live near Cambridge but in a rural setting so the idea of owning a thatched cottage was the dream complete' she says. Seven years on and with the arrival of her daughter three years ago it's much more than just a pretty country cottage. Period Home boxes festive ribbon ties and decorations.
