Historic building gets a contemporary twist in Spitalfields, London

As an architect and designer, Chris Dyson has spent many years working on remodeling a dozen historic buildings in the area, patiently piecing them back together and giving them a contemporary twist. The Dysons have also reinvented a number of homes here for themselves and their two children. Their latest – a calm, inviting and character-driven family house with five storeys – is their most ambitious project to date.
