Open space kitchen in Durban flat

After buying her new flat Nicola Ashe set about transforming the tiny, old-fashioned kitchen into a stylish open-plan space. Nicola added industrial castors and hooks to an ordinary pine table to create a movable island. The dining room table was made from two sheets of plywood on painted wooden trestles.
