Alice poured her heart and soul into the lush restoration of her Goan home; IN

Designer Alice von Baum fell in love with the colours of India during a research trip to Gujarat many years ago. Today, she lives in an airy house in Goa, filled with local style and design - and several beautiful screen doors and windows. The restoration and enlargement of the 1930s home was a challenging experience: The non-existent garden was full of goats, most of the roof was missing and the kitchen still had just an open fire.
