Cape town pied-à-terre is perfect resting place for a roving gourmet

Chef Paula Nel loves the kitchen of her Cape Town home, where a touch of rustic informality is provided by the bare-brick wall. Cooking for half the year on private yachts from the Caribbean to the Maldives is certainly an enviable lifestyle. When she's not travelling she retreats to her apartment which is small enough to maintain with ease, yet large enough to hold the abundant exotica she’s amassed in ten years of travelling the world.
